Terms of service

1. Who you are dealing with

These terms are between you and unmarkclaude.io ("we"). Your payment is taken by lava.top, the merchant of record for this purchase, and that is the name you will see on your card statement. The work and the support are ours: hello@unmarkclaude.io.

This service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Anthropic PBC. "Claude" is used to state what the tool is compatible with.

2. What the service does

You submit text, code or a file that you made with the help of an AI assistant. We process it and return a cleaned version together with a report describing what was done and which parts of it are verifiable.

A submission may be of any length, up to 100,000 words in one order. Before payment we process and show the first part of it, up to 3,600 characters of cleaned text, with the report measured on that part. Payment takes the whole document through the same processing.

3. What we promise

• We run your material through the full processing whatever its language and whatever it is about. We do not refuse work on the grounds of subject or origin.
• The meaning, the facts, the numbers, the names and the links stay where they are, and we show you that with a check against your original.
• For images: provenance metadata is removed, and this is visible before and after. We take PNG and JPG for that, documents (.docx, .odt and .pdf), and plain text or code files as well. Anything else is refused when you upload it, before a job is created, so it costs you neither money nor a free run. A PDF made of scanned pages is refused the same way: it holds no text to work on.
• For text: we apply a transformation that, according to published research, eliminates detection of the mark in the vast majority of cases.
• Code files are taken as they are. In a language we parse, only the comments and docstrings are processed: the code itself and every string literal come back byte for byte, and you see exactly that in the before and after. We promise nothing about how the program behaves afterwards, because there is no compiler and no test runner in this service.

4. What we do not promise

We do not promise that a mark is no longer present in your text. There is no public detector from Anthropic, so nobody can check that today, neither us nor our competitors. We say so plainly, here and everywhere else.

We also make no claim about how any third party (a platform, a client, an employer or an institution) will classify your material. Any service that promises you that is guessing.

We do not compile your code, we do not run your tests, and we promise nothing about how the program behaves afterwards. Read the result before you ship it.

5. What you may use it for

This service exists so that you do not have to carry another company's mark inside your own work. By submitting material you confirm that it is yours or that you have the right to process it.

It is not sold as a way to misrepresent authorship to anyone entitled to know it, and it is not sold for evading academic or professional integrity checks. Marking law obliges the provider of a model to mark its output; it does not oblige you to advertise which tools you used. That distinction is the whole basis of this service.

6. Price and payment

A single payment per submitted document. $5 for a document up to 10,000 words. Longer documents are priced by length; you see the exact price before paying. There is no subscription and nothing to cancel.

Payments are processed by lava.top, which acts as the merchant of record for the transaction. We never see or store your card details. The price shown at the moment of payment is the price that applies.

7. Delivery

Processing of the whole document starts as soon as the payment lands. It takes minutes for an ordinary document and up to a few hours for a very large one; the page shows how far along it is, and a link to your result page is sent to the email address you give at checkout when it is ready.

Text you paste comes back on screen and as a .txt file; a .docx or .odt document comes back as the same kind of file, and a .pdf comes back as a .docx with the same paragraphs; an image comes back as the same kind of image. In a document the paragraphs, headings, lists and tables stay where they are. Inside a paragraph, bold or italic can even out to whatever that paragraph starts with, and text in boxes and footnotes is left exactly as it was; the author, the dates and the program that made the file are cleared out of it either way, so the document you get back carries no trace of where it came from. The link works for 30 days, after which the material is deleted (see the privacy policy). Download what you need before then.

8. Refunds

If the service fails to deliver (the result never arrives, the file comes back corrupted, or the report shows the processing did not complete), write to hello@unmarkclaude.io and you get your money back in full.

Because the entire report is open to you before you pay, and because you decide to pay after reading it, refunds are not offered for dissatisfaction with a result you had already seen. What we cannot refund, and will not pretend to, is a claim about whether a mark is detectable by a detector that does not exist yet.

9. Availability and liability

The service is provided as it is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Our liability for any claim connected to your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the job in question.

10. Changes

These terms may be updated. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time of your payment, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.

11. If something goes wrong

Write to hello@unmarkclaude.io first: nearly everything is settled the same day, and a refund is faster than a dispute. Anything about the payment itself also goes through lava.top, under the rules you accepted at checkout.
